Boiler-Related Terminology (1)
As a leading China high pressure gate valve factory, we also provide professional knowledge about boiler operations and fuel combustion. The following are some key terms commonly used in boiler and fuel systems:
I. Boiler-Related Terms
1.Rated Evaporation of Boiler: The specified steam output of a steam boiler under rated steam parameters, rated feedwater temperature, using the designed fuel, and ensuring the boiler efficiency.
2.Maximum Continuous Evaporation of Boiler: The maximum evaporation that a steam boiler can achieve during long-term continuous operation under rated steam parameters, rated feedwater temperature, and using the designed fuel.
3.Rated Steam Parameters of Boiler: The rated steam pressure and temperature at the outlet of the superheater.
4.Boiler Accident Rate:
Boiler accident rate = (hours of downtime due to accidents / (operating hours + hours of downtime due to accidents)) × 100%
5.Boiler Availability:
Boiler availability = ((total operating hours + total standby hours) / total hours in the period) × 100%
6.Boiler Thermal Efficiency: The percentage of effectively utilized heat per hour to the total heat input of the boiler.
7.Boiler Steel Consumption Rate: The tons of steel used per unit of boiler evaporation.
8.Continuous Operating Hours: The operating hours between two successive maintenance periods.
